Communicating in recovery; communities under stress

On 25th February 2020, Regional Development Australia is holding a workshop on the theme of communicating in recovery and communities under stress. This conference is aimed at anyone in the emergency management or community sector that manages information and/or communicates with members of the community during times when communities are under stress. From the organizers:

Using the best-practices Communicating in Recovery guide the workshop looks at communicating within a disaster context.

The workshop will explore communication strategies to help overcome the physical and psychological challenges affected communities may face during and after a disaster. The aim is to assist people to communicate more effectively, raise awareness of recovery communications and provide an opportunity for people working with communities and individuals affected by disasters to network and share ideas.
