IACD is throwing it back to 2005 for a look back at a report from Rosie Gallen, a longtime member of IACD in New Zealand.
The purposes of the community planning map included:
–Enabling our community to have a say in identifying what is really important to us.
–Getting a clear understanding of the communities’ priorities in enhancing Eastern Porirua community.
–Providing Council with a broader community view of priority projects for the 2006-2016 Long Term Council Community Plan (LTCCP).
–Providing other stakeholders with clear priorities for the development of Eastern Porirua community and environment.
— Developing and progressing the development of a community strategy for Eastern Porirua
