A Message from Dr. Daniel Muia, WCDC2020 Chair and IACD Regional Director
IACD’s Regional Director for Sub-Sahara Africa is Dr. Daniel Muia, and he is also chairing the 2020 World Community Development Conference to take place in Nairobi, Kenya over 29 June – 1 July 2020. He has a message for delegates who have submitted abstracts, and IACD would like to encourage anyone who has not yet submitted their abstract to do so before 29th February, 2020.
We have received and responded to all abstracts so far submitted. Many
thanks for the overwhelming support. We are however still open to receive more abstracts – kindly encourage members of your networks to submit their abstracts.If for some reason you have not received feedback on status of your
abstract submission, kindly get in touch.So as to move to the next phase of scheduling sessions and development
of a book of abstracts, we kindly request all those whose abstracts have
been accepted and they have not completed the registration process by
way of paying registration fees to do so. We can only do scheduling of
abstracts of delegates who have fully registered and paid the requisite
conference registration fees.Once again, once payment has been made kindly send us the payment
details to enable us reconcile and send you a payment receipt.

Practice Exchanges in Nairobi
We are thrilled to be planning two Practice Exchanges in Nairobi that will follow directly after the conference. All delegates will have the chance to register to attend, and places will fill up quickly.
Delegates can choose to attend one or both Practice Exchanges over 2nd – 3rd July 2020. The first Practice Exchange will visit selected urban community development projects within Nairobi City County while the second Exchange will have delegates visit rural community development projects to the west of Nairobi City County.
The fee to participate is $20.00 USD to attend one day, or $40.00 USD to attend both days. Please email wcdc2020@acdpk.org to register your interest. More details will be released soon!
