2020 Youth & Ocean Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

We continue on our theme this week of shining a spotlight on young people involved with climate initiatives.

2020 Youth & Ocean Conference

Launched in 1994, the World Youth Foundation (WYF) is an international NGO committed to promoting research, developing and documenting youth programs beneficial to young people around the world. This year, between 100 and 120 young people will come together for the WYF’s 2020 Youth & Ocean Conference. The conference will take place from 17th April – 20th April 2020 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As this conference is aimed at young people, a limited number of places are available for delegates over the age of 33. The conference is targeting representatives from NGOs, youth clubs, civil society organizations, educational institutes, corporate bodies, philanthropic organizations, and officials from relevant government agencies, ministries, or stakeholders.

All interested parties can register until 10th April 2020.

The conference organizers say:

This four (4) day event will provide an opportunity for young people from around the globe to come together to discuss, find solutions, share best practices and develop innovative projects on ocean issues pertaining to marine pollution, climate change related impacts on the oceans, sustainable blue economy among others.

The 2020 Youth & Ocean Conference  is a gathering between 100 to 120 young people from around the world  to come together to share their experiences on how they are taking actions in their communities to protect and conserve the ocean.
