October 2019 Community Development Newsletters

The IACD Monthly Newsletter is Back!

After the success of the 2019 World Community Development Conference in Dundee, Scotland, IACD revitalized and re-started our monthly newsletter. All current members of IACD receive this newsletter directly to their email address, and if you are not yet a member, please consider joining us today!

Our October 2019 Newsletter covered the appointment of a new Country Correspondent for Ghana, updates from our WCDC2019 delegates on the connections they made during and after the conference, updates on the upcoming WCDC2020 in Nairobi, a report on the International Standards from the Community Development Society, and much more. If you are a current member and you’re considering submitting an article for publication in our newsletter, please email membership@iacdglobal.org. Submissions can range from a short one-paragraph reflection to a multi-page report or photo essay. We want to hear what our members around the world are doing so we can share your work with our community.

The October 2019 Community Development Alliance Scotland’s Newsletter is now out

CDAS just released their October 2019 Newsletter full of information about upcoming conferences, developments, and participation opportunities.

This month, CDAS highlights the upcoming Participatory Budgeting 2019 Conference:

Scotland is now considered as one of the leading global players in Participatory Budgeting with considerable advancement and developments over the past 4 years.

Tackling inequalities is one of the key aims of PB in Scotland. This 4th major conference, on 23 October,  will explore how participatory Budgeting is taking hold across the globe and here in Scotland.

The conference will bring together people involved in PB in Scotland to share and learn about each others practice, to help improve our impact and prioritise future plans. There will also be insights into PB activities and approaches from across the world.
