Community development and disability: It’s time we really made communities inclusive

The First International Inclusive Practices Festival “Pushing the Limits – 2018” took place on 3-5 October 2018 in Ureki (Georgia) on the Black Sea coast.
The aims of the Festival:
– Promotion of the unique experience of inclusive practices such as: inclusive sports, inclusive theater, art-inclusion, inclusive dances, family inclusion experience for disabled adults and children
– Launch and promotion of IACD International Standards for Community Development Practice in Russian and Georgian in the post-Soviet space
– Bringing together practitioners of Inclusive Communities interested in implementing International Standards under the auspices of the IACD
At the conference “Inclusive Community Development Practice” 54 speakers from 9 countries presented their experience which will be loaded on YouTube channel “Inclusive Practices”.
The Festival was attended by more than 400 people from 13 countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Finland, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan.
