Is your on-the-ground Community Development work disrupting inequality and driving real change? We want to hear your story.

The global landscape is defined by political instability, economic inequality, and climate crises. The World Community Development Conference is the global forum where practitioners, educators, policy makers and others can share how the discipline is responding.

The Call for Abstracts is officially OPEN!

We are seeking submissions that showcase powerful, practical, and community-rooted work and clearly align with our core themes:

  • Challenge: How are you successfully critiquing and confronting systems of injustice? Share your rights-based practice that address power dynamics, discrimination, or marginalisation.
  • Change: What new co-created approaches, future-focused dialogues, and resilience-building practices are leading to meaningful change?
  • Collective Action: What are your most effective examples of community development, mobilisation, and solidarity? We are looking for models oriented toward inclusive, participatory, and collective justice.

We welcome proposals for Practice-Based Workshops, Conference Papers, Lightning Talks, and other creative formats.

Deadline: Monday, 3rd November!

Ready to share your vital work with a global network of peers?
