What a pleasure to have been appointed to the role of Vice Chair of the International Association for Community Development. I am humbled and inspired by my IACD colleagues and am thrilled to continue to serve our organization. It has been a joy to serve with outgoing Vice Chair Michelle Dunscombe and outgoing Chair Anna Clarke, both of whom have been visionary leaders in our field and for our organization.

IACD is moving into an exciting new chapter with a dedicated Strategic Director, new Chair, new Secretary, and continuing Treasurer – congratulations to Anna Clarke, Daniel Muia, Ciara Shanahan, and Dawn Brown!

In my time with IACD as a member, Trustee, and Secretary, I have found powerful community, valuable learning, and skillful collaboration. IACD plays a critical role in the promotion of Community Development across the globe, and we do this through care, support, and encouragement of each other. Our dedication to our collective and to our field is evident in our meetings, publications, newsletters, social media, and conferences. Our involvement builds our community and creates our impact. I recommend anyone passionate about community to join us – both in membership and in our 2026 World Community Development Conference. See you in Glasgow in 2026!
