Join us on 11th June for an IACD Webinar on addressing care as a societal issue. Lessons in implementation. With speakers from several UK and Ireland based organisations.

Hear from leading voices in community-led care— including Bob Rhodes, Simon Duffy, Chris Evans, and more—as they share real-world insights into how care can be reimagined as a relationship-based, inclusive, and societal responsibility.

The presenters are all thinkers and practitioners who are actively engaged in evolving and demonstrating relationship-focussed alternative approaches to ‘care’ that are informed by asset-based community development theory and practice; or experts in related fields who have contributed important knowledge and insights to the development and testing of alternative narratives to the dominant neo-liberal/transactional public systems that persist despite their inevitable failure and collapse. The webinar follows on from the first Care is a Societal Issue event which discussed why an alternative narrative is needed, and explores what we’ve learned about how local, personalised, and democratic approaches that meld service and core/relational economies can be realised and sustained. We’ll be relating the contributions to various aspects of the practice and policy framework questions we introduced in the first webinar.
