We are delighted to share that IACD’s ECOSOC consultative status with the United Nations has officially been extended following the successful submission and approval of our four-year quadrennial report. This status gives IACD a formal voice and active role within the UN system, allowing us to directly advocate for community development on a global stage and keep our members connected to international decision-making.

Through this consultative status, IACD representatives can attend official UN meetings in New York, Geneva, and Vienna, submit written statements, speak at public sessions, and contribute on global issues. It also opens up invaluable opportunities to network and collaborate directly with diplomats, UN officials, and fellow international advocacy groups - ensuring community development values and practice contribute to global policy.
