The session will focus on how participatory research automatically may not lead to decolonisation. Instead, it argues that decolonisation requires a fundamental transformation of research paradigms, acknowledging the ongoing impact of colonisation on knowledge, power, and institutions. Drawing on anti-colonial thinkers, the presentation outlines key principles for decolonial research praxis, aiming to dismantle Global North dominance and facilitate new knowledge systems.
