Like many organizations, IACD has found itself moving more and more of our events to online platforms. We are thrilled to bring you updates from two such digital meetings.
East Asia
“Community Work Amid the Covid-19 Pandemic in Hong Kong,” was hosted by IACD Regional Director KK Fung and Country Correspondent, Suet Lin Hung. IACD President Anna Clarke was also in attendance and gave a keynote speech which was very well received. The conference attracted 169 participants with working groups formed to follow up the identified issues and agenda.
Sub-Saharan Africa
On Monday, Country Correspondents for the Sub-Saharan Africa region held a virtual meeting. The key highlights are that this region will be having a Sub Saharan Africa Regional CD Conference every September starting next year 2021. Secondly, we plan to have an IACD Africa Region members call up on 30.6.2020 at 12.00 noon EAT.
