Please Welcome IACD’s Newest Country Correspondent!

Country Correspondents play a crucial role in IACD. They are responsible for keeping IACD Board Members informed and up to date on any community development-related issues. In addition to keeping Board Members appraised, Country Correspondents also update practitioners in their communities and promote regional community development opportunities and challenges to our members at large.

IACD is thrilled to welcome Stellah Masese as Country Correspondent for Kenya!

Stellah Mong’ina Masese is a part-time Lecturer of Sociology as well as pursuing a PhD on diversification of livelihoods at Kenyatta University, Kenya. She holds a Master of Arts (Community Development) from Kenyatta University, and a Bachelor of Arts (Community Development) from Daystar University. Her academic and research interests are community livelihoods, social change, group dynamics, social problems, gender and development and rural societies.

She has extensive experience of working with communities living in informal settlements of Nairobi City County, Kenya. She has published journal articles on issues of food insecurity in Mathare informal settlement in Nairobi.

Stellah is currently a committee member of the Association of Community Development Practitioners-Kenya, the Kenyan network of community development professionals.
