IACD has Awards presented to members deemed by the Board to have made a significant contribution towards the work of the association and to the field of community development. These Awards, called Lifetime Achievement Award and Global Community Development Ambassador Award are presented at our international conferences. At our most recent conference in Dundee this June, four members were awarded the Global Community Development Ambassador Award.

Paul Lachapelle, President of IACD from 2016 – 2019 was also thanked for his hard work and dedication to his role within IACD during the AGM.

For ten years Stewart played a very leading role in ensuring the association’s continuation, providing extensive support from Dundee City Council throughout that time and securing the first grant from the Scottish Government.
