Update: the deadline for submissions for WCDC2019 has been extended to 10/12/2018 @12pm GMT.

Presenter guidance
WCDC2019 will feature both submitted and invited sessions that address the conference theme of ‘People, Place and Power’. We encourage community representatives, practitioners, policy makers and academics at all levels of experience to share their knowledge and expertise. The organising group of WCDC2019 welcomes proposals for oral presentations, practice workshops, poster presentations, film screenings and visual arts responses that reflect on the conference theme and encourage dialogue about the key conference questions.
Proposals should relate to community development practice and facilitate reflection and discussion on key challenges for community development as we look towards the future. If proposals are developed from disciplines other than community development, a clear connection must be made to community development practice, pedagogy and/or policy. WCDC2019 encourages submissions from a wide range of perspectives and participants in order to encourage open, reflective dialogue on the complex interrelationship between people, place and power in global community development practice. The working language of the conference will be English. If participants require language assistance please note this in your proposal. If required, we will work with you to develop ideas and to assist you in finalising your proposals. The deadline for submission of all proposals has been extended to 10/12/2018 @12pm GMT.In order to facilitate maximum time for preparation, the peer review group is committed to informing applicants of the outcome of the peer review process as soon as possible after that date.
