President of US Community Development Society appointed IACD correspondent for the United States

We are delighted to announce that Cindy Banyai has been appointed our second US correspondent.

Cindy Banyai is the Evaluation and Design Advisor at the Southwest Florida Community Foundation.  She also teaches in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Florida Gulf Coast University. She received her Master’s and Ph.D. from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan where her research focused on community development, public administration, evaluation, and governance. Her works have been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has written, edited, and contributed to several books on public administration and community development. Although Dr. Banyai considers herself an evaluator by trade, she has worked in the field of community development since 2000. The role of our correspondents, which is unpaid, is:
1.  to post news about CD and development issues in their country regularly on the IACD members’ Facebook site https://www.facebook.com/groups/IACDglobal/ 
2.  to promote IACD in their country and encourage colleagues to join the association.
Any paid up IACD members are eligible to become a Country Correspondent if we have a vacancy in their country.
