INTERNATIONAL CD STANDARDS REPORT ENDORSED BY IACD BOARD

The report on International Community Development Standards approved by the Training and Professional Development Committee has now been endorsed by the Board. The report, which is to be formally launched at the World Community Development Conference in Ireland later this month, has been over 18 months in the preparing. It is a significant policy development for IACD and follows the adoption of the association’s agreed definition of community development as a practice based profession and academic discipline in 2016. The report was written by Charlie McConnell, Anna Clarke and Colin Ross with member input as part of the four month consultation on the earlier draft.
