Rob Gregory, IACD Treasurer, retires from the Board

We are sorry to announce that Rob Gregory, the association’s Treasurer , Chair of the Finance Committee and European Director has decided to retire from the Board. Rob has been a Board member and Treasurer since 2014. Scottish Board member, Clare MacGillivray will be taken over as the new treasurer.

Like all IACD Board members, this is an unpaid post and Rob has given his huge experience and time commitment to the association since his appointment. He developed IACD’s current 2016-20 business strategy as an integral part of the wider Strategic Plan for the period. He was able to attend events in India and New Zealand and will always be remembered for the support he gave to participants on the 2016 India Practice Exchange. The association owes Rob huge thanks and we wish him great success in the post he took up earlier this year as the Assistant Director for Communities and Neighbourhoods at Stevenage Borough Council, 50km north of London, UK. Under his leadership Stevenage is currently chairing the UK’s Co-operative Council Innovation Network, championing good practice in the relationship between local government and local communities.  Before that Rob had been working in community development in the UK for over 15 years, across a range of public and voluntary sector programmes and had  undertaken community-based research in Brazil, Japan, the UK and the USA.
