Farewell to Alex Ruhunda, IACD President, who has been elected a Ugandan MP

Alex Ruhunda, who has be elected a Member of the Ugandan Parliament has stood down as IACD President and is being replaced by Vice President Ingrid Burkett from Australia. Alex was elected the first African President of IACD in 2007 following Gary Craig (1999-2007).  He was the founder and director of Kabarole Research and Resource Centre (KRC), a Ugandan NGO supporting community development across the country. We wish Alex congratulations on his election to Parliament.
Ingrid will become the first woman President of IACD. She runs a social business in Queensland, Australia, specialising in local and international community economic development and is interested in links between community development, community economic development and community cultural development. She has practised, taught and researched community development for over 20 years.
