Evaluating and Improving Policy and Practice

We are delighted to bring you the fourth episode in our new series, International Community Development Practice – the podcast. All episodes are produced for IACD by IACD member and Wales-based CD practitioner Russell Todd (twitter.com/llannerch). Read on and listen below!

About the Episode

This episode features co-authors Jo Ferrie and Paul Lachapelle of chapter 9, ‘Evaluating and improving policy and practice’, in the new International Community Development Practice book. This episode also features Scottish case study contributors Stuart Hashagen and Alan Barr, two of the founders of the Scottish Community Development Centre (SCDC).

Together, they discuss how evaluation of CD practice is not only valuable to improve efficacy, but how it can be used to inform policy-makers at a strategic level that can often feel remote from communities.
