IACD fully supports the endeavors of our members who are interested in research, publications, new findings, and sharing their own knowledge and experiences. We provide several avenues to our membership to facilitate ongoing research and knowledge-sharing.
Publications
The IACD @70 Blog
IACD is celebrating 70 years and to mark this anniversary, we have created this special blog to highlight the work of our members in the different geographical regions. We will focus on a different global region with a dedicated post over the next months, and we are inviting all members to share about their community development work with a focus on good practices and the future of community development.
The IACD Membership Blog
IACD’s greatest resource is our members. We love to hear from our members about what they are doing in their practices, what they are studying, and what experiences they have to share with us. We regularly publish updates, and if you would like to contribute to the blog, please email membership@iacdglobal.org.
Case Studies from our Members
In addition to our Membership Blog, we also highlight more formal, high-quality case studies from our members. You can find them all by clicking the button below — and you can use the template below to submit your own case study.
Practice Insights
Please also take a look at the Publications tab from our drop-down menu under “What Do IACD Do.” IACD publishes a magazine called Practice Insights throughout the year along with other periodic reports.
Community Development Journal
Our partner journal is the Community Development Journal, published by Oxford University Press, to which IACD members can get a reduced subscription.
Policy Position Statements
In 2018, IACD accepted two position statements — The International Standards for Community Development Practice and the Maynooth Declaration.
The IACD Monthly Newsletter
IACD recently re-launched our monthly newsletter, which is sent to all of our members via email each month. It contains up to date information on what’s happening in community development around the world, featuring reports from our Country Correspondents, Board Members, and much more.

Conference Reports
IACD aims to make available reports from our international conferences — please see the latest reports below.
