In late March, IACD hosted a seminar and members’ networking event in Dundee, Scotland.
 
IACD groups and networks have now developed in a number of regions around the world to benefit from the exchange of practice, to support the work of IACD. This seminar provided the opportunity to contribute through an exchange of practice to thinking about how best to promote the role of community development as a mechanism for supporting community empowerment and for raising awareness about issues of social justice. The seminar provided an opportunity for workers wishing to take a more global view of their practice and featured presentation from community development practitioners and a general discussion.
