We would like to invite you to the 2nd Asia Pacific Regional Conference on Community Development which will be held on October 20-22, 2010 at SEARCA, UP Los Banos Campus, College, Laguna. This year's conference theme is "Enriching Community Development Education Amidst the Global Economic and Environmental Crises". Aside from presentations on Philippine experiences and research, we have invited speakers from Japan, Indonesia, India, Cambodia, and other Asian countries to present papers on their own CD initiatives related to this year's conference theme.

Thus, we again eagerly invite you to not be late and signify soonest your decision to become part of this gathering of academician-practitioners, professionals, students, and social movement activists--our growing CD community. Let us, together, take the opportunities and challenges presented by globalized conditions to strengthen our engagements and forge long-term relationships for greater impact in the community development of our societies.

The education of children received a blatant blow as their schooling got highly affected for a considerable period of time.
