Professor Mayo works at Goldsmith’s University in London and is very highly regarded in the field of community development and social justice, having written many important books and papers over the past thirty years.

Marjorie has a keen interest in international aspects of community development in a globalised world and has active links with a number of NGO’s overseas such as Vani in India. She is author and or contributor to the following books: Adult Learning, Critical Intelligence and Social Change, Communities and Caring: The Mixed Economy of Welfare, Global Citizens: Social Movements and the Challenge of Globalization & Imagining Tomorrow: Adult Education for Transformation.
