IACD is governed by an international Board of Directors of up to 14 elected members and up to 6 additional co-opted members. Board members are elected at the annual general meeting, or can be co-opted by the Board if it feels it requires additional expertise. Any IACD member may stand for the Board. Board terms are for three years and may be extended a further two three year terms. Nominations are now open for membership of the IACD Board with appointment from August 2017. The Board meets quarterly on a ‘virtual’ basis. It is hoped that once a year the Board meeting will coincide with one of IACD’s international conferences. Board members are also expected to serve on one of the association’s committees or working groups. You can find more information on the role of the committee on the Governance Page of this website https://www.iacdglobal.org/governance/.
